Chinese Atmospheric / Post-Black Metal. This is why I just love BM! This interweaves some incredibly nice melodies & BM & goes back between them - because fundamentally they are the *same*... :) It is not possible to have one without the other & BM is a natural way of life! I am probably not making much sense - just know this: You need it & you need it now! This music is truly beautiful in so many ways & is essential to your life! Highly recommended!!!

The moon slants, stars faint, and clouds continue their endless drifts. Miles away, the shadows of all things—and their murmuring fret—loom within the swirling ripples of the Stones. Daylight fades into shades of crimson amber while the chilling Night yearns with no purpose, sighing at the vicissitudes of Life. How many times have we dreamt of another world? A realm where we can lean against those rippling stones and paint the Sky Ethereal with the hues of our Spring -- as such, we pray out of the Lucid state, just as Their clouds and waves sway before our eyes, yet beyond our reach. Secluded Sojourn. Empty Seasons.
Clouds.
Mountains.
Dreams.
Woods.
Behold one of the most unique records from the Chinese underground. Hailing from Sichuan, 山神廟-SrenHlinMrews (lit. Temple of Mountain God) is a recently formed Atmospheric BM/Post BM project by 杨厄 (DoomYang) and J., which would soon evolve into a full band in 2024. Drawing inspiration from the motif of nature worship and Eastern philosophy -- the core of Classic Chinese Art -- their debut full-length 雲山夢樹 (Clouds, Mountains, Dreams, Woods) is itself a contemplation within the heartland of those sublime mountains, like a rediscovery of the Self in the dreamlike landscape depicting by the masterful brushwork of those artist forebearers like Zha Shibiao and Xia Gui: serene, soulful, at times hauntingly grandiose like thundering waterfalls, 雲山夢樹 pushes the standard of Chinese Atmospheric Black Metal to a whole new level.
溪山清遠(Streamy Mountains, Limpid Remoteness), on the other hand, is an acoustic and adapted version of 雲山夢樹, which mainly consists of Piano and Dongxiao (a traditional Chinese wind instrument).
This March, Pest Productions will release this absolute gem as A. individual 8-panel Digipak CD, and B. Special Slipcase bundle including both albums (溪山清遠 as Digi-sleeve CD, which won't be sold separately). Highly recommended!

Chinese Post-Black Metal / Rock. This really spans the whole spectrum from BM to Rock & back again & it does so in a practically seamless way. Sung in Chinese & I can only wish I understood it - can we have some lyrics please? I am loving it! Highly recommended!!! bmurator

Chinese Black Metal. The very best I know! Their music is so incredibly captivating, the way they blend in instruments, modern & non, as well as vocals is fascinating! Plus it is a tragic piece of history which needs to be remembered! All songs stellar & highly recommended!!! bmurator
